You may not have heard the term “microcopy, ” but you have definitely been exposed to it…

Website microcopy refers to the small sections of text on a website that guide readers, offer instructions, and prompt purchases—such as call-to-action buttons, error messages, form field prompts, and purchase notifications.

Albeit short, luxury microcopy plays a very large role in shaping user experience, engagement, and hence also, conversion.

  1. It helps readers understand what do to/where to click/and how to make a purchase

  2. By eliminating confusion and enhancing user experience, it reduces bounce rates and increases sign-ups and sales
